Bio: Hi everyone! My name is Rylan Sorensen and I’m a junior from Niceville, Florida. I’m doubling majoring in Environmental Studies and Political Science, with a minor in Global Studies. I’m passionate about environmental policy and advocacy, and intend to work for a nonprofit or government agency after college. On campus I’m a part of a group project in the Political Science Department researching affective political polarization on college campuses and I have participated in tree identification and mapping in the Lehigh Arboretum for the Earth and Environmental Sciences program. I maintain active membership in several campus organizations including Conservation Club, Community Growers, and the Mustard and Cheese Drama Society. I’m also very involved with the Zoellners Arts Center, acting as a lighting production electrician for the Theater Department and a general staff technician. Outside of Lehigh I have interned as a sea turtle rescuer and rehabilitator at my hometown aquarium and I am currently a Green Corps recruitment intern. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
